Interesting fact about the funeral yesterday

As a former Royal Green Jacket, the Queen (Gawd rest her soul) was the former Commander in Chief
I wondered why the Rifles were not more involved.
It turns out the Rifles were meant to pull the carriage.
They declined and the Navy stepped in.
It turns out only the Navy were prepared to hold hands in public
Nothing unusual from a Saturday night in Portsmouth apparently I was told

The young lad was a B&R's trooper so not sure he walked anywhere... anyway very sad and proper waste of a life... RIP

There will be lots of statues/buildings for her majesty.....like there has been for Victoria...there is the whole era of her reign for starters, to be continually rolled out......

The empty fourth plinth is very, very good symbol of what the whole system in the UK is about. Long may it be a space for public debate.

Understand the planned statue of the Queen is going to be at Windsor.
Sure they could find a spot outside Buckingham Palace.
The 4th plinth at Trafalgar Square has been planned as a revolving venue for ARTISTIC INSTALLATIONS for a while.
Understand the one after this in 2024 will be by a Mexican artist and contain the cast of the faces of 850 TRANS people.
